For over fifty years, D.K. Holdings Limited has been designing, manufacturing and supplying quality diamond tooling from its own plant in the U.K., to a wealth of industries on a world-wide basis. We have enjoyed a long-standing association with our customers in the Middle East where we have over twenty years’ exporting experience, and make regular visits to the region. Our quality service has been continuously accredited since 1992, and we are proud to have worked to the ISO 9001 standard since 2003. Our capacity to respond to our customers’ changing needs is second-to-none, and we strive to provide tooling solutions to any situation. We pride ourselves on our ability to design bespoke tooling using the services of our in-house drawing office, and can manufacture on a relatively short lead-time. A large stock of off-the-shelf products is also available for prompt despatch.
Our engineers were amongst the first developers in the world to introduce a flexible diamond cloth to the market, and we are now one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of flexible diamond tooling.
Our versatile range encompasses diamond belts, discs, pads (including hand-pads), hand files, sheets and drums, for grinding and polishing glass in both wet and dry environments. The long life and abrasive cutting action of diamonds is enhanced by the strong and flexible backing materials we offer; backing options include QRS loop, self-adhesive, magnetic and M14. Most sizes are available for many glass applications, for use on hand or automatic machines and it is widely acknowledged that D.K. Holdings’ belts are among the best in the field.
Such is the versatility of D.K.’s flexible diamond cloth that it can be applied to a diverse range of in-house manufactured products or bespoke-designed tools, in order to satisfy the customer’s specific requirements.
In addition to our extensive range of continuous belts for larger operations, we have a variety of smaller tools designed to reach those more inaccessible or contoured areas of the glass. For increased customer convenience, these are available either as hand-tools, or can be mounted onto a range of electric and pneumatic hand-machines, which we can also supply.
Our seven-grade, colour-coded glass polishing system will satisfy any requirement for a polished, high-gloss finish. Sets are available in 25mm, 50mm and 100mm diameters and come with a QRS looped backing. All tools within the D.K. Flexible range are offered with a choice of grit sizes, and many are colour-coded where appropriate. In addition to the glass industry, D.K.’s Flexible Division is also able to service customers involved with composites, stone and engineering.
D.K. Holdings manufactures, by a unique process, diamond glass drills of a very high quality, with diameters from 3mm to 100mm, which are offered with a range of fittings. The key attribute of our glass drill is the thin wall of its tube, which facilitates a fast, uniform cut resulting in a very good, clean hole. Wall thicknesses are either 0.6mm or 0.9mm, although special sizes can be manufactured to suit customer requirements.
In addition to tubular drills, D.K. Holdings offers diamond-electroplated countersinks and drill countersinks in its vast product portfolio. Of particular note is our new Sinter+ drill with optional integral Sinter+ countersink. This adaptable drill, however, is not confined to the glass industry; it can also be used on solar, automotive and ceramic applications with equally professional results
The company’s range of diamond blades for glass includes metal-bonded blades, designed for high-speed wet cutting of sheet and glass tiles, and resin-bonded blades for the fast cutting of glass tubes, silica, quartz and other scientific glassware. Manufactured with a continuous diamond rim and a bond suitable for cutting most glass and hard, vitreous materials, they are ideally suited to most portable tile saws. The bore sizes can be engineered in-house to suit customers’ individual machines. Our series of diamond-impregnated bandsaws, manufactured from high-quality carbon steel, is available with either a continuous or a castellated edge, and are supplied ready-welded to your own specification, for immediate use. They are specifically designed to cut glass quickly and cleanly with the minimum of chipping.
Resin wheels for arrissing glass sheet to a smooth, polished finish represent another product range available from D.K. Holdings, and these can be specially produced for the crystal industry. Our metal-bond pencil-edging wheels and split V-wheels are widely recognised for their accuracy and high performance.
D.K. Holdings is pleased to offer an after-sales refurbishment service, encompassing strip-and-replate for a variety of electroplated tools, a re-tipping service for core drills, milling wheels, metal-bond routers and drums, and a redressing facility for resin-bonded products. Furthermore, we offer an in-house re-grind and re-profile service for metal-bonded tools. By carrying out these services, we can significantly lengthen the life of the tool for a fraction of the cost to your company.
D.K. Holdings is committed to ongoing customer service excellence and has enjoyed marked growth in its output in recent months. Consequently, the company has invested in the construction of a brand new production facility on its site extending to 28,000 ft², thus guaranteeing our ability to service the long-term needs of our existing and future customers across all key industry sectors.
As well as manufacturing tooling for the Glass industry, D.K. Holdings also manufactures for the Automotive, Aerospace, Engineering, Composite and FRP/GRP Pipe industries. A complete range of standard tooling can be seen on our website at www.dk-holdings.co.uk, or email us at email@example.com with your request for bespoke tooling manufacture.
