LiSEC is presenting a range of clear innovations to simplify the production processes, minimise waste and increase efficiency.

LiSEC is continuing its pioneering technological role in the glass processing industry and is presenting a range of clear innovations to simplify the production processes, minimise waste and increase efficiency. With its latest innovations in flat glass cutting, insulating glass production, laminated safety glass production, flat glass processing, logistics, software, and service, LiSEC demonstrates how modern technologies are making production facilities around the world smarter, more sustainable, and more efficient.

Flat glass cutting: Compact automation and resource optimisation with the LiSEC BSY‑A

With the BSY‑A, LiSEC is setting a new standard in automated float glass cutting. The ultra-compact XY‑breakout station combines automated edge and residual breakouts with a footprint that is reduced by up to 20 %, which saves valuable production surface area both in the existing layout and in greenfield projects. This contributes directly to sustainable surface area utilisation and efficient operating structures.

A particular highlight is ancillaries tracking in the cutting process, which was developed by LiSEC. The cutting fluid is metered ultra-precisely, monitored continuously and parameters are optimised to the product type. This prevents over- or under-metering, saves resources and increases process stability significantly. The result is a sustainable, intelligent and quality-focusses automation solution for modern glass cutting.

Insulating glass production: Perfect corner quality with the LiSEC SRP‑A

Sealing in the corner area is one of the most demanding steps of insulating glass production. Unclean corners or material overlaps frequently resulted in manual rework up to now. With the new SRP‑A sealing machine and the patented CleanCorner technology, LiSEC is overcoming these challenges and enabling consistent quality – fully automatically.

The SRP-A shapes the corners so precisely that fully complete units can be removed from the machine – without requiring any manual postprocessing. This does not just increase the optical quality but is a decisive step towards unmanned, fully automatic production lines. Supplementary systems such as optimised glass guidance, precise metering via CleanSeal and optional automation modules ensure additional stability and efficiency.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Flawless corner quality without manual rework

  • Higher process reliability for automated lines

  • Precise metering and low material consumption

  • Stabilised glass guidance for consistent results

  • Faster installation and easier spare parts procurement thanks to standardisation

With the SRP‑A, LiSEC is setting new standards in insulating glass production – for perfect corners, less effort and maximum automation.

Laminated safety glass production: Precision and sustainability with the FTC‑C

With the new FTC‑C, LiSEC has put a highly innovative solution for laminated safety glass (LSG) production onto the market. The system enables fully automatic and precise trimming of the overhanging film directly in front of the pre-lamination oven – a process step that was previously frequently manual and post a high risk of waste.

The FTC‑C makes a significant contribution to reducing production errors and material losses to a minimum. Risks such as excessively narrow cutting, glass offset or contamination due to manual handling are virtually eliminated. The result: a significant reduction in waste, a stable production process and sustainable use of resources.

Advantages of the LiSEC FTC-C:

  • Virtually no glass waste thanks to precise, reproducible cutting quality

  • Avoiding post-production and energy-intensive repetition processes

  • Reduced danger of injury

  • Time and cost savings thanks to automation

  • An overall faster production process

With the FTC‑C, LiSEC is setting a new industry standard for efficiency and sustainability in laminated safety glass production.

Flat Glass Processing: LiSEC LSP‑A – laser technology that sets standards

The LSP-A offers an innovative solution for laser processing of flat glass. With its compact design and high precision, the system enables the creation of unique designs and textures on the surface of the glass. The LSP-A utilises a variety of laser technologies, including CO2 lasers for surface processing and NIR solid-state lasers for the edge deletion and thin-film texturing of coated flat glass. In the case of surface processing, the laser beam penetrates the glass slightly and specifically alters the glass texture on the surface, in order to produce precise and permanent markings. During the edge deletion process, the glass coating is removed in a targeted manner using laser radiation, leaving the underlying glass completely undamaged. Thanks to the system, it is possible to process glass without the use of ink, granulate or chemicals.

Flat Glass Processing: SplitFin glass processing line – smart edge and internal processing

The SplitFin is a vertical processing line for edge and inner processing of flat glass sheets. By dividing processing over two machine towers, the processes can be run in parallel and the overall performance increased significantly. While the first tower grinds and polishes the outer edge, the second tower makes the required cut-outs and drilled holes in the sheet. The result: significantly higher process reliability and a stable, efficient processing process over the entire line.

Thanks to its high performance, flexible configurations and the continuous, automated process chain, the SplitFin is particularly suitable for industrial glass processors that rely on maximum precision, speed and process reliability. Whether it’s in the interior area, railings, roofing or wherever complex processing steps are required in short time, the SplitFin provides a powerful, future-proof system for the most modern flat glass processing.

Logistics: More transparency and efficiency with IG‑Sort

With IG‑Sort, LiSEC is presenting a smart product innovation that significantly optimises internal logistics processes. The system ensures fully automatic sorting and buffering of the insulating glass units that have not yet hardened directly at the end of the insulating glass line. With the IG-Sort, LiSEC is closing just that gap here and is bringing fully automatic wet sorting into practice, which uncouples production and shipping intelligently from each other.

IG‑Sort convinces through:

  • Picking at the touch of a button – flexible and automated

  • Secure intermediate storage and “cleaner” hardening process for TPA units

  • High process reliability and reproducibility

  • Space-saving design for narrow production layouts

  • Adaptable to various spacer types, unit sizes and storage capacities

IG‑Sort is therefore a central module for continuously digitised and highly efficient production processes. IG‑Sort turns the previous bottleneck at the end of the line into a real productivity factor – a smart logistics solution that increases quality, efficiency and operational reliability equally.

Software: Standardised OPC UA‑interfaces for the networked glass industry

LiSEC is actively driving networking in the glass industry and is highly dedicated to further developing standardised OPC UA‑interfaces in a joint working group of the VDMA. The aim is a standardised, cross-manufacturer communication basis between machines, software solutions and higher level IT systems. Instead of numerous proprietary interfaces, OPC UA enables structured, secure and scalable data exchange – from transmitting production orders, status and quality data to energy and performance indicators.

For glass processors, this means significantly reduced complexity in integration, a higher level of cyber security and the prerequisite for continuous digitisation, production monitoring and data-based optimisation. With its active role in the corresponding industry working groups, LiSEC is contributing to not just applying digital standards but also to designing them – as a basis for future-proof, networked production lines.
