The HEGLA Group has expanded its operations in the Iberian market through the establishment of HEGLA Iberica, a new branch located in Nigrán, Spain (Province of Pontevedra). The branch has already begun operating and is designed to offer customers in Spain and Portugal more direct support, improved service accessibility, and a stronger local presence.

Expanding the local team and operational capacity

HEGLA Iberica will continue to grow under the management of Rui Joaquim, a recognised expert in the glass industry who will oversee the organisation and service structure of the new location. The sales activities will be further developed together with Rolf Meyer, HEGLA’s long-standing partner in the region. Their combined experience and established industry knowledge contribute to building stable, long-term cooperation with customers across the Iberian Peninsula.

Supporting industry trends toward automation

The new branch positions the HEGLA Group to better address current changes within the Spanish and Portuguese glass industry. The increasing demand for automation solutions and the ongoing skills shortage are shifting the needs of manufacturers, creating a stronger requirement for efficient systems and rapid support. HEGLA Iberica provides a strategic base to meet these evolving market demands more effectively and proactively.

The office in Nigrán is being expanded step-by-step to support HEGLA’s long-term strategy in the region. Additional service personnel, a spare parts warehouse, and modern facilities are being integrated to ensure consistent availability, faster response times, and reliable customer assistance. With this foundation, HEGLA Iberica is set to enhance the company’s overall presence in Spain and Portugal and support local partners with advanced solutions for the years ahead.
